General Use
Are Nectar chats private?
Yes. All your chats are private and not visible to other users.
What’s the difference between SFW and NSFW modes?
SFW mode filters out adult or explicit content for a safe experience. NSFW mode unlocks mature or adult conversations without filtering.
Can I generate videos?
Yes. Nectar supports video generation in addition to text and images. You can use your credits to create short video clips of your characters or fantasies.
How do I create a new companion?

Character Creation & Customization
How do I create an engaging AI character?
Focus on giving your character a strong identity. Choose a few defining traits, outline their personality, and describe them in detail: appearance, backstory, likes, dislikes, and speaking style. The richer your description, the more realistic, consistent, and immersive your character will feel during conversations.
Can I change how long or short my AI’s responses are?
Yes. You can adjust response length in the chat’s Generation Settings. Nectar offers different chat models like Fuchsia (casual, fun, and conversational) or Orchid (detailed, storytelling-focused). On top of that, you can enable Long Mode for descriptive replies, or Short Mode if you prefer concise responses. This lets you fine-tune the chat style to your liking.
Can I make my AI speak in different languages?
Yes. The AI currently supports several Romance languages such as English, Spanish, and French. More languages will be added in future updates.
When I make a new character, how long before it shows up publicly?
Text-based characters usually appear right after creation. If your character uses a custom image, it will go through a quick review to ensure it meets guidelines. Image reviews are typically completed within 24 hours.
What’s the best way to prevent a story from ending too quickly?
Add more detail to your initial prompt and expand on example dialogues in the advanced settings. This gives the AI more context to build longer, engaging storylines.
I want the bot to give me better responses. What should I do?
Be specific. Clear prompts, context, and roleplay instructions help the AI understand your intent and deliver higher-quality responses.
Memory & Chat Behavior
Does Nectar have better memory?
Yes, Nectar is designed with strong memory features compared to many chat apps. However, memory is still technically limited, meaning older chats may eventually fade. Premium plans offer extended memory options.
How do I stop a bot from looping or repeating the same thing?
If repetition happens, try rephrasing your input, switching to another model, or resetting the conversation.
What happens to my chat memory if my subscription expires?
If your subscription ends, premium memory features may no longer be available, and stored chat history could become inaccessible.
Content & Guidelines
Why was my bot deleted?
Bots that violate Nectar’s content guidelines or community standards are removed to keep the platform safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Subscription & Billing
Is Nectar free?
Yes. Nectar offers a free plan with basic features. Premium plans unlock more memory, models, image/video generation, and customization options.
What are Nectar credits?
Credits are the in-app currency used for premium actions like advanced roleplay, generating images, videos, or using certain models.
I want to upgrade my plan, how do I do that?
You can upgrade your plan anytime by going to Profile > Settings > Subscription and Credits and selecting your preferred option.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Profile > Settings > Subscription and Credits. From there, you can update, change, or cancel your plan.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through encrypted and secure systems. Nectar never stores your sensitive financial details.
Will I lose access immediately after cancelling my subscription?
No. Your premium benefits remain active until the end of your billing cycle. After that, your account will return to the free plan.
Technical Support
I can’t log in to my account. What should I do?
Check your email and password, reset if necessary, and make sure the servers are online. If the issue continues, contact support via Discord (fastest option) or email support@nectar.ai.
The image generator does not follow my prompt, what should I do?
Try rephrasing your request with more specific and detailed descriptions. The clearer your prompt, the better the results.
